  1. HellHathNoFury says:

Um, she was pretty to begin with. Crazytime lady.

  2. cmg says:

Proper makeup & Photoshop would be cheaper and less painful. :P

btw, what did they do to her eyes? I see no difference before and after?!

    • Fifi says:

they cut a crease into her eyes so she can look more western (bigger eyes)

    • Dover says:

Show how does she "Photoshop" her face before going out to a club?

  3. Twisted Sister says:

It’s especially sad when already attractive people have surgery to fix what ain’t broke. I bet her before picture would have been equally nice had she fixed her hair and makeup.

  4. taketori says:

This is actually a pretty common surgery over in East Asia. The surgery on the eyes is done to give the eye a “western” look- that is a crease in the eyelid.
Stupid trend really. I used to see it all the time when I rode the bus to school. The girls are pretty as is :/

    • What? says:

You’re a stupid idiot. She already has a crease in her eyelid, and so do most Asians, except for Koreans. She just enhanced it. What kind of “western” look are you talking about?

      • Anonymous says:

it’s called ‘asian eye surgery’ and it’s common amongst some asian populations in the united states for looking more western, ie enhancing facial features of the western bloodlines

        • Chrissy says:

Yep, I've seen it too. they're making the eyes look rounder, more western or white, to be honest. (definition of caucasian is the eye shape). I have to say, she looks happier after, though she was very pretty to start.

      • julie says:

many koreans also have natural creases; not sure where you are getting your info.

    • garth says:

this has nothing to do with "Western", are u saying when Westerners get tans they are going for a "tribal/Third World" look?

    • jeremy says:

A practice that isn't about to go away anytime soon: not necessarily because of Western cultural domination, but because it has now become internalized by Asian (mostly Chinese) Culture, since that has now become the new norm amongst Asian Starlets.

  5. Mona says:

she still has a bad nose
i dont see any difference at all

    • bpcloe says:

And people can't see any difference between your face and your butt. Asshole.

      • Your ass says:

bpcloe must be the girl in the pics.

  6. Huh? says:

Huh? What did she change? I don’t see any difference. Seems like a lot of trouble/pain/$$ to endure for a change that can’t even be noticed.

  7. What? says:

Its sad that non white people will go under the knife to change their facial features in order to look more like a white person.

    • Pattyz says:

hehe… i know- that comment could not be any more true! But, I say just stick to whatever a person’s born with. … Why risk the chance of getting under the knife and maybe even ending up totally ridiculus…like a MJ nose…. who knows what the surgens may do to someone. There are people that always say that I’m photogenic… but I still say…maybe if I had a better looking nose, or better eyes…. that’s not right of me to think that way. Wouldn’t it be funny to see everyone look exactly the same?

    • Kevin says:

It is a shame indeed, but don’t blame the victims. There has been a long documented history of the American corporations and media conglomerates caricaturing other races and their standards of beauty. Though this may not seem like significant problem at first glance, it is when those standards of beauty limit access to white-collarjobs–primarily for women– because of their inability to meet western standards of beauty. For more info on the matter, refer to Elaine Taylor May’s “Homeward Bound: American Families In The Cold War Era” and Laila Haidarali’s “Polishing Brown Diamonds.”

Bottom line is this: people want to advance and advancement means overcoming obstacles and often times that means eliminating whatever “deficiencies” that one may have. It sucks, and I don’t like it, but its proven fact that those who meet the western standard of beauty in western countries are more successful. I’d bet a million dollars that at least half of the respondents to this post have worn braces (80% of American teenagers have, or are currently wearing them). What makes that so different? Think CNN would have hired Anderson Cooper if he had buck teeth? Fox with Bill O’Reilly? I think not.

      • himbeer says:

yeah…you’re right. I had a brace and most other people in my school have or had one as well. Mine was because my teeth had no place to grow and were growing into my other teeth, but a big part of getting a brace is having “perfect teeth” afterwards…..

    • gooz says:

What? She looks white to you after the procedure? You're either smoking crack or blind.

    • stacy says:

why you westerners so stuck up and always think Asians are trying to copy you – I'm Chinese and live in China, many people here want to get a double eyelid, that aesthetic has been for decades if not centuries. nobody here thinks it has to do with being Western, frankly we don't find Westerners very attractive, they look very foreign and hard to tell apart. Chinese people also prefer lighter skin, but not so light like 'white' Europeans.

    • Your dad says:

And what do white people go under the knife to look like?
Because white people get more surgery done than anyone else.

    • fujishimaakiko says:

What a stupid thing to say. We Asians don't want to look white.. in fact we don't find white people to be attractive, so why would we want to look like them? Learn something about Asian eye anatomy before spewing your baseless comments. For many of us, because of our eyelids, and our straight eyelashes, sometimes, this combination can lead to the lashes poking the eye… which is painful. The surgery reverses this problem.

This girl is Korean, and for Korea, this is very common, most people can't even find work in Korea without getting surgery. It's been proven that those who have undergone double eye lid surgeries get chosen for jobs over those who have not.

It's so annoying when people outside of a culture, talk about something as if they know anything about it. But hey, Westerners know everything…. right? =___=

    • seal says:

As China gains power and status in the world we will see caucasians going uder the knife to look asian–not just their eyes but also coloring their skin a beautiful yellow. Not just women but men too. When that happens you will see far fewer asian altering their features and many caucasians becoming beautiful asians not just for job opportunities but to blend in with a superior race.

  9. Anonymous says:

I THINK SHE LOOKS GORGEOUS IN HER AFTER PICTURES.
THE SURGERY WAS PAINFUL BUT A SUCCESS

  10. Anonymous says:

    ^^
SHE LOOKSSO MUH YOUNGER & ALIVE IN THE AFTER PICS.

  11. Anonymous says:

    She looked cute either way.

  12. murrr says:

She looks the same except in the after pictures there are some photoshopped special effects.

  13. MC says:

I reckon they did a little scalpel work, punched her in the head, then when the swelling went down she thought she’d been ‘made over’….. I think, she then had more confidence which made her get on with life better, made her think she was prettier….The surgeons probably are laughing all the way to the bank!

  14. Poppy says:

I don’t get it. What was done? She looks exactly the same…such a waste of money…

    • Janice says:

Yeah. Waste of time, money, and energy. She's already pretty to start with, and her eyes didn't even change after the surgery. I'd rather stick to an organic eye cream than go under the knife.

      • Captain Obvious says:

        Cuz your broke.

  15. Dont Get It Twisted says:

I don’t think non-white people get surgery to look more white. That is a VERY generalized statement to make for all the thousands of people out there who get plastic surgery. What’s to be said about the numerous white people who get plastic surgery? Are they trying to be non-white? People do it for a NUMBER of reasons and I think wanting to look better(as they see it) is at the top of their list. I’m sure wanting to look “more white” has nothing to do with it.
Lets not talk about all the “non-minority” people who get plastic surgery done on their butts, lips, and boobs. Oh, and lets not forget the lenghts they’ll go through to tan! What are they trying to be?

    • James says:

BS! My sister in Law is Korean and the big thing is to get their eyes done so they have a crease above eyes…and they all say they want AMERICAN eyes so they can do the eyeshadow thing

      • talkoutofbutt says:

having a korean sister in law makes you an expert then on all korean women and probably men!! america is so great to james, that AMERICAN eyes is the only reason for surgury…

    • dr.Miller,Jr says:

dude, she is obviously japanese kid,and i'm caucasian medical assistant from san-diego,don't post silly chat if you've never been to Asia, which is more civil than most of our states biz, dude!you probably eat macdonalds, stead of sushi and never went onsen in your life, too expensive for you ha ha ha.ps.i won't approve these kind of surgeries either, just calling japanese person chinese,or viceversa would be the silliest thing i ever heard in this economy!ROTFL!!!

      • God says:

How the fuck is a normal person suppose to tell the difference between a brit wearing the same clothes are an american standing besides each other?
sure its ok to say they dont look alike. but thinking your professor culture dont mean everyone here knows the deal. also, why the fuck would a doctor be responding to people on this site? go fuck yourself you aint no doctor. nobody asked you what u did for a living. OR where u did it at.
        Fuck you, in the face.

  16. blue says:

    STILL LOOKS CHINESE TO ME…..FAIL!

    • CHIVEASAURUS says:

some people thumbed you down for this i disagree i think that was one of the best comments i have ever read, well done sir.

  17. Anonymous says:

I disagree with all of you. She looks WAY better after the surgery. It was needed.

  18. lee says:

they actually dont want to look like western or what.. some of them just think how it will be nice and more beauty if they eyes are biger by the eyelid surgery and the nose job also..
i think she doesn’t look better,..

  19. Nerzhul says:

    fake

    • Nerzhul's dad says:

      gay

      • loves rwj says:

        love it haha

  20. Þórdís says:

I dont think she needed it but she is SO gorgeous in the after pics. her eyes are much bigger and more open . She looks like an anime girl. Maybe thats what she was going for! Anyways! She’s a pretty pretty girl :)

  21. F-oo says:

She looks like Nicchi from that Korean band Perfume.
I’m not getting plastic surgery. You look worse before you look better, and the pain.. ugh. No comfy feeling where that comes from.

    • Kai Marron says:

Just a correction (no offense): I think you mean Nochi from the Japanese group Perfume.

  22. Nahhh says:

She was cute before, and she’s cute after. If she’s happy, who are we to judge?

  23. jess says:

    she looks really pretty now!!

  24. Anonymous says:

I can see a difference in her nose. I don’t judge people for having surgery. She looks so much happier in the after photos so i say good for her.

  25. Pedro says:

Well most people would agree that the nicer Asians are the ones with more “Western” features (Leah Dizon F.E). It’s not that they’re trying to be Western… it’s that pointy & curvy noses and big eyes are more attractive, Western people just happen to be gifted with these features.

  26. Wrestling TV says:

    wow she looks so different

  27. Dutchman says:

In order to compare her before and after face, we need an after picture without makeup just like the before picture. Otherwise, we are just guessing at the differences.

  28. Jade says:

she looks very artificial after surgery with overlarged eyes… she looked better before surgery!!

  29. 5784 says:

geez, i really hope you're being sarcastic

  30. She Kinda pretty before the Surgery, But after it, OMG She is Freaking Cute !!
