Funny stuff. Several of these are from the now disbanded collection of Dr Potter’s Curiosity Museum, Bodmin Moor – the black and white picture of the kitten with legs growing out of its back is. He had massive Vicorian era collections of two headed lambs, two-faced pigs (no, that pig most certainly isn’ the only wo-headed one in exisence) and lots of tableaux of stuffed rabbits/squirrels/ rats/ Guinea pigs dressed up in quaint scenes – google the kitten’s wedding, for example. Grim stuff it’s true, but I’ve seen it ‘in the flesh’ as it were. I guess taxidermy oddities interest me. Good stuff.
