I am 19, 5'5" and 140 lbs too, and I am not overweight. I highly doubt you are either, and while it seems to me that your father has the best intentions for you, he is going about your weight the wrong way. I believe that if YOU want to go to the gym, you should. If YOU are unhappy about your appearance or health, then you should change it. Don't let your father "lovingly" talk you into an eating disorder- you are probably healthier than you know.
