  2. Brandon says:

    #3 – still not sure if that’s a guy or a girl
#15 – still can’t believe that is real

  3. ClongClong says:

    Must be EEEEEEMO

  4. P-90 says:

Yes how dare your supportive parents bring you up in a safe middle-class area and give you everything you need, the bastards.

    • killfoot19 says:

yes because life is so so tough for you all. Speaking of having supportive parents, it appears you don’t need them if you can afford enough makeup and hair supplies to pull off the moron look in these pictures. Quit playing dress up and give your self a supportive life moron. You all do it because you want attention, its not a secret anymore.

      • Scorpio says:

Actually in my experience most people who dress this way are very intelligent but scarred of people for some reason, In many cases it is a way of pushing people away. If people are too scared to talk to you they won't notice you're too scared to talk to them.

  5. mishmish says:

I love how people who have a great excuse to be emo never are :)
These people are rather embarrassing. I’m waiting to see how many comments defending emotards pop up later.

  6. top dog says:

Some of that is just ridicules, not a sexy woman in the whole bunch.

  7. Robi5150 says:

#17 Big greasy pile of ridicule!

  8. HellHathNoFury says:

I’d be sad, too if I were a constant drag on my parents, a twit with no purpose or drive and no accomplishments besides sad MySpace posts. Odd how fast people go from this shit to being normal once they’re forced to do something with their lives.

  9. evilorstupid says:

No, seriously, who are #15′s parents and why hasn’t she been taken away from them?

  10. Clarice says:

OMG Really? Do these people ever think they will never have a normal job to support themselves? I mean mom’s basement isn’t always going to be available for the rest of ever ya know.

    • Loki Northman says:

well if you're semi-decent looking you can always become a suicidegirl like me :D
,but that means getting off your lazy butt and quitting your bitching, which these kids don't look like they'll do anytime soon

  11. yeahsure says:

i fucking hate these bottom dwelling trombloids

  12. Mook says:

I tell ya its simple. Somewhere around 1998? 2002? Goth, which on some female sides were really hot, and the guys if they kept it low key had some kinda cool David Bowie the hunger type of thing going on. But it all split and now we have Emo on one side which is cry baby fagets trying to not fit in and then whining about it, then there is steam punk which is just Victorian not even a ‘style’ more of a era. Everyone just up and turned sissy. And to out sissy the 80′s holy shit is that ever a low accomplishment. Way to go Emo you’re sadder than Boy George.

    • Mook says:

Additionally I remember when people never messed with the goth kids in my school because they were more on the side of breaking a bottle into your neck if you fucked with them. Now they will just get their rich parents to try to sue you for emotional damages.

      • HellHathNoFury says:

Tell us how you really feel.

      • Nateb123 says:

Amen Mook. I remember when punk wasn’t likened to Avril Lavigne and goth jokes weren’t even around because people were just too scared of goths. Plus everyone knew the real goths were the coolest kids around so they just plain didn’t want to make fun of them (no one else except goth girls had caught on to how sexy corsets were so they were awesome by default). There simply is no fringe style that can be likened to people who are bad ass now and I miss that.

        • (A) says:

Crust punk. Essentially a cross between hobos and the real, boot in the face punks. You don’t see it much because we move between towns a lot. It’s the last real counter-culture stand, the human equivalent of alley cats.

          • Nateb123 says:

Yeah. You kind of negated your claim to awesomeness with your own post. Self-described alley cats? Uncool and generally fun to mock.

  13. Jess says:

I’ve seen #15 before! That’s the cheesecake kid! (Google “sometimes when i’m sad i cut myself…another slice of cheesecake.”
Who is this chick? And what is her problem?

  14. randomness says:

if everyone one of these people were lined up and shot the world would be a better place

    • ninjafrog says:

holy crap you are such an asshole i would love to see you say that to there face’s because they would kick the crap out of you

  15. georgiee says:

i actually really like the 1st girls hair…rest of em are a bit scary though :|

  16. exexec says:

Point being, if you dress this way on any day of the year other than Halloween, the problem is with you, not the world.

  17. Dave says:

Not 100% on this, but #9 might be a band called Angelspit

  18. Nateb123 says:

It’s funny how people can be both absolutely hilarious to anyone who sees/speaks with them yet still remain completely assured of their superiority. I truly hope you were being sarcastic.

  19. Missy says:

    #7

  22. Rissa says:

    Stop being so judgmental…

I guarantee you half of the people who LOOK sad or angry like this are actually kind and friendly. It matters not what is on the outside.

    • shey says:

Yea but if you make a point to be a annoying little prick that insets on being a negative shit that takes the attention you so crave and just throws it back into the face of the person that gave the time to dive into your unimportant , self righteous life

  23. Kim says:

#3 is pretty hot. The only thing that makes her ‘odd’ is her piercing, which isn’t even a big deal and can easily be taken out for work and whatnot. I don’t see why she’s on this list.

  24. Musemistress says:

The girl on the right in pic 9 is what we call ‘Scary Goth’ and are generally not upset about their lives at all. They’re the girls who work in arts and design to make their own clothes and tend to look like that to scare people off…I see them at our club but don’t associate, too weird. But they are NOT the classifiable emo.
The girl in pic 13 is soft goth, essentially just dressing in what she wants and often is around the age of 19 to 25…aka university study geek who keeps things simple and never changes their look for years. So they stay looking the same, and the easiest style is indeed a little on the dark side..

The rest? Hell yes, Emo all the way. Look, seriously though, even goths laugh at these kids. ‘Scene’ is what emo has become, they tend to mix with Ravers and Punks and the rest of us facepalm, shove on our corsets and just enjoy our lives while hoping to gods those kids won’t spawn.
Gothic isn;t even really a look, it’s more a lifestyle which is mainly the arts (painting and literature) and most goths do something geeky and fun with their careers. One I know runs a comicbook and movie collectables shop and she is so freaken chirpy with bright pink fluffy hair and dark makeup with GLITTER (and hates Twilight too thank god) that emos hiss and shy away from her.

I personally am Steampunk. I could say I am gothic in that I go clubbing in the goth club and I do the arts, but labels like that are too fuzzy now and people get the wrong idea. So I just say I love brass, gears, making my own clothes, dressing up neo-victorian and NOT getting a tan while wearing undergarment corsetry that just helps with all things that makes a woman feel good about herself…posture, fun little boots, boobs. Yeh

  25. enola says:

how about, u learn the difference between CYBER GOTH, GOTH, and EMO….
and then write a post about those topics….
    ;)

  26. Serah says:

Ok, to get things straight Goth is cool. Stuff like Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy; that was really good music! The whole post-punk thing is something I’m a huge fan of. And I must say I really do like “goth” fashion, though I don’t dress as such myself –

    – on the other hand, emo fashion seems to just be derivative of real goth and punk. However, I’m not one to judge. It’s their self-expression. If they want to look that way, let them! The only problem I have with the emo subculture is how so many of them complain about life when there’s nothing much to complain about. They probably have better lives than most of the children in the world, like those in developing countries.

  27. Serah says:

I do agree with a previous commenter named “Rissa” though. Many people of alternative subcultures (that I’ve met at least) are really nice, friendly people. One of my best friends ascribed to more of a punk style in high school (not now though, but that’s another story) and she’s one of the nicest people I know. We shouldn’t judge based on how people look. Sure, some emo kids do the emo thing to get attention, complain, etc. but many just do it because it looks kinda cool.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think the stereotypical spiky-ish emo hair is pretty cute on guys ;)

  28. asfanRei says:

#9 isn’t Angelspit hahah. The girl in Angelspit is asian.

  29. navygunner says:

most of these people look like oxygen thieves

  30. poop says:

emo or goth, its all the same garbage. if I someone that looks like either, i’ll spit in your fucking face! my brother and i have several times.
