Ok, to get things straight Goth is cool. Stuff like Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy; that was really good music! The whole post-punk thing is something I’m a huge fan of. And I must say I really do like “goth” fashion, though I don’t dress as such myself –

– on the other hand, emo fashion seems to just be derivative of real goth and punk. However, I’m not one to judge. It’s their self-expression. If they want to look that way, let them! The only problem I have with the emo subculture is how so many of them complain about life when there’s nothing much to complain about. They probably have better lives than most of the children in the world, like those in developing countries.

I do agree with a previous commenter named “Rissa” though. Many people of alternative subcultures (that I’ve met at least) are really nice, friendly people. One of my best friends ascribed to more of a punk style in high school (not now though, but that’s another story) and she’s one of the nicest people I know. We shouldn’t judge based on how people look. Sure, some emo kids do the emo thing to get attention, complain, etc. but many just do it because it looks kinda cool.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think the stereotypical spiky-ish emo hair is pretty cute on guys

3 = Not sure here…going with punk or emo (leaning more on emo)
4 = Goth…but a bit confused here XP

8 = Emo (hmmm everything is Goth but the scarf was the big EMO sign XPP)

15= I’m confused at this one I’m thinking either of the three really (The piercings go to Punk, the eyeliner goes to Goth, and the pink XP go to emo)
16= I actually believe this is supposed to be Goth (no way in hell that emo could pull that off, besides I strongly believe that Tim Burton has this thing for Dark humor that’s miles away from what being emo is.)

As you can see I’m a bit biased…I don’t like emos…and I have a strong predilection for Goths. I’m okay with Punks.
Hurt me curse me whatever I HATE emos. Their masochistic, Goths are sadistic…eitherway if they got into a fight, the emo’d probably kill himself before the Goth gets the chance to disembowel him. PERIOD.

Even though I have to disagree with people here being so rude about self expression I had to ROFL at the very last sentence here. I once saw an old man on a bus start a 10 minute argument with everyone on the bus because a girl got on with a belly button piercing.

It's their bodies they may or may not change when they get older my 57 YO mom's hair has been purple and blue this year, my daughter has been Emerald since May and mine was Turquiose, Navy Blue, White, Red, and Purple this year alone. I work out of my home and have been a home OWNER since 2007 so Goth and Punks can be productive in life, Not sure about Emos though as I've never met any lol.

How about EVERYONE learn the difference between, EMO, GOTH, PUNK, METAL, JUGGALO, CYBER, STEAM, and of course BORED! Half of these pictures are metal, the fat dude is a juggalo, Im not too sure about the yak, i think that one might be tibetan. But really, 80% of it is a phase. I went through it. It was kinda fun. I did have an emo phase, i really wanted to die, i stabbed myself in the chest. BUT I GREW OUT OF IT. Im willing to bet that half of these people are leading full productive lives now. For example, #13, she is in a college classroom. Obviously, at the time of the photo, she was trying to do something with her life. NO ONE is in ANY position to judge anyone else. Ive been labeled, and it sucks. But guess what, I proved them all wrong. If you feel like judging someone based on what they look like GO SUCK A FAT BABIES DICK YOU PREJUDICED COCK BITE!

I think #9 and #21 are cool.

It's like, I remember characters like these from 2000AD (the comic, not the year) so, if I had the hair and the balls to do it, I probably would.

Most of the others though, nice try, not approved.
