Funny, but the fact remains that the school is out one expensive violin
April Fools, parents! You get to buy your kid another violin. (maybe it’s a school-rented one, but still)
Schools provide violins? Mine was a cheapskate school, you had to buy your own musical instruments.
it’s quite possible that they arranged beforehand that that particular violin needed replacing anyway.
or it could just have been a prop, it didnt look like the pegbox and tailpiece were being held together by any tell tale strings, and the bow seemed to be stringless too.
