This is Magdalen Bridge (pronounced ‘maudlin’) in Oxford, England. Every May Day all the pubs in Oxford stay open untill 5am when they shut and everyone piles out and onto Magdalen Bridge where a choir sings hymns from the top of the tower of Magdalen church (you can see it in the background of one of the pic) The pubs reopen at aroun 7am and everyone carries on drinking. With that much alcohol consumed it’s suprising more people don’t jump of, and yes in some places the water is only a few inches deep.
I live here, but not stupid enough to do this, that water is full of rusty bikes and syringes : )
