Funny, the only thing that does not scream late 50's / early 60's is the bathroom.
The problem with designing a house of the futures is once you design these "weird looking" features people will see that and want it in their current house. Look at the chairs that ended up being a 60s style and the lights on the pole which I know were around in the 80s but not sure when they first became popular.
It looks cool on the outside and with some work on the inside might be livable for 2 people. Not sure how it would hold up in storms, etc. If given some modifications for solar water heating, solar/wind power and other 21st century updates, it might be pretty good.
