That was great. It's the only sky diving I'll be doing but I appreciate the insiders view. It made me wonder who was the first to jump out of a plane with a parachute? Did they jump or were they pushed? How many fails did they have before they got a reliable parachute?

Saw that happen in person before I did a tandem jump back about nine years ago. None of us on the ground realized what we had seen until later in the day, after our jump was completed. In our case, the instructor didn't cut away his chute…he grabbed the straps and popped it until it untangled and deployed. Not sure I would have jumped if I was more aware of what had happened.
