Can't stand the 2-space a*holes, or handicap spot jerks. Don't really care for those who think spots are 'reserved' for them, when it's public parking. If you don't like spending time shoveling out a spot- DON'T. I don't live in the city, but if I visited, I'm not going to go around the block looking for some spot someone 'didn't' shovel out.

If a person isn't from that city and needs to park in a public space, then they should. Not everyone has a shovel in their car, and would even be able to shovel that space if needed. Besides, the person shovelled the space to get out to go somewhere, it's rude to think that they can just claim that spot for their own for a whole week.

If someone wrote a note like that on my car, I would take the time to shovel my own spot, but shovel all of that snow into 'their spot'

Mostly Im referring to neighbors/neighborhoods. nothing worse than shoveling out your spot to go to work. Coming home and your neighbor who was out of town sweeps in and takes your diligently shoveled spot. So then you're out shoveling out a spot again while you park like an ass in the middle of the street. Its just courtesy, but I know that's a lot to ask of people anymore.

I'm just commenting on how rude you are to someone like Jason, telling them to stay in the suburbs instead of going out and doing shit and taking your spot. Which is hypocritical because for you to have your spot stolen, you to would have to be out doing shit yourself.

But in the situation you described above, you do my suggestion and shovel the snow from the new spot you are digging onto the car that took your spot, if it's your neighbour.

Someone steals your spot? Easy enough to fix. Pay the next pickup with a plow that comes by $20 to push a shitload of snow right up to the side of the car. Lesson will be learned.

I would shovel all the snow I could to barricade your apartment door if you did that me. But not before putting a large piece of wood or metal in front of the door (larger then the door frame) so that the weight of the snow would make it so that you can not move the wood or metal. Leaving you trapped in your home until someone is nice enough to shovel you out.

But if your as big of an ass as you sound, that won't be any time soon.

Being an ass to an asshole doesn't make you a 2x asshole. It's more like being a vigilante; taking justice on the asses of the world. And that's not the best I could come up with, it's just the easiest and most appropriate for the situation.

Besides, you wouldn't be able to go to war with me because, you wouldn't know who to retaliate on. I being the person who parked in your spot, can easily identify which place would be yours, because I parked in front of it. So it would just be a one sided battle, but I would have no need to continue because I would have already had the last laugh.

First of all, all you people that took 3 hours to shovel out a spot are retarded. I've lived in Minnesota my whole life and I think are winters are just a little worse. Should take like 20 mins tops!! Even if the plow makes a big mound. Also, fuck the Yankees and FUCK Ford!!!

You dont own your shoveled out spot. It belongs to the universe and I say park in them. If I saw a chair or a table, etc I would just move it. Technically, I am sure that leaving a chair in the street violates some kind of law.

I always steal parking ticket envelopes when I see them on cars to use to write notes to drivers….imagine the car owner showing up to see a yellow envelope on their car and then they realize that I just wrote them a warning.

instead of being a jerk, why not be neighborly and clear off several spaces and help out society instead of being a selfish prick. Parking karma. Clear off a strangers car one day, put a coin in an expired meter, pay the toll for the car behind you. You will be surprised by how good it makes you feel and good things will come back to you.

I remember during snowpocalypse last year there were some wars over parking because people claimed that since they shoveled a spot, it was “theirs.” I call bullshit on that. Unless it’s an assigned spot, it’s fair game.
