A lot of shelters wont delawcs cats because is it not humane, if you did not know it is actually amputation of the first digits of their toes, not just the removing of the nails. There is another option called caps that are put on the nails to prevent them from causing damage, you can even get them in cute colors and designed so it kinda of looks like nail polish. Try to consider other options before declawing, it also saves their life should they ever escape outside.

That’s such a sweet story except, wild ratbbis and even domesticated ratbbis do not act that way towards other animals or humans. They are extremely territorial after giving birth. Also, they don’t have the ability to “pick up” their babies without killing or seriously injuring the baby due to the way their teeth are positioned and how sharp they are. They can push them around but for the first week to 2 weeks, the mother rarely leaves the nest except to get food or water because she can’t take her babies with her. I breed and raise domesticated ratbbis for a living so you can believe my opinion or not.
