I absolutely LOVE that you did this post, she's such a damn copy-cat and needs to be called out on it. I despise lady gaga!!!! Such a FAKE!!!!!!!!!! And #4, really?? How could she wear that and think she could get away with people thinking it's original, that's such an infamous outfit Madonna wore. I hope she fades out soon, she doesn't deserve the fame or the money.
That doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. It's like saying the kind of person to drive a car is the same kind who would build or design it. Considering all the stupid jackasses on the road, that statement is clearly false.
The desire to see a celebrity be made fun of does not constitute the will to spend time and research in gathering and composing material, like some sort of revenge tripping hater.
Gaga is a musician she is not the costume designer, video director, photographer, stylist…ect Artists borrower ideas, take inspiration and pay homage to one another all the time. In 22 for example Gwen even said she specifically took that look from Michelle Pfiffer in Scareface. Hell Madonna stole the idea for Vogue and several of her looks from an 80's girl band and THEN SUED THEM for copyright infringement.
And as other have said, when you have hundreds of costumes a year it isn't very hard to find other pictures from the thousands and thousands of looks of others.
Some of the examples you gave are pretty stupid actually.
The lightening bolt is from DAVID BOWIE and she's admitted that. Even Cherie Currie of the Runaways jacked that. And I agree with a previous poster…who CARES if she uses inspiration from other ppl, she's never denied being stylistically inspired by designers and other ppl. And some of the comparisons were so weak and vague….sorry, fail.
Notice the few people "defending" Lady Gaga. I wonder why, maybe because you like that someone is making it as a copy cat. There are the people that start the trends, the people that wear them before they are popular, then there are these commenters who catch on to a trend long after it's dead and don't think anyone should be able to criticize them for their complete lack of style. Great, Lady Gaga is out there making it without talent or good looks. Lets not forget this is a little rich girl! Sigh, when will people be their own inspiration rather than turning to these horrific celebrities.
I thought I'd correct some things;
1. Lady Gaga wore the hairbow first. Paris is wearing the bow cause she's a huge Gaga fan.
2. The thunder mark on the eye is originally David Bowie, whom Lady Gaga is a huge fan of.
3. Of course Lady Gaga would take some ideas from Madonna, she has admitted to be a Madonna fan and she calls Madonna her queen.
4. Lastly, the Telephone and Sweet Escape video being similar is a coincidence and the only thing that makes those videos similar is the pattern on their outfits.
