Apparently these are called belt purses, but look closely. At a first glimpse, didn't you want to say fanny pack? The name fanny pack sure does have a nice ring to it... I'm going to stick to the original name.

Definitely a fanny pack. You can spruce up the name all you want – it's still a fanny pack. LoL

Love the idea….maybe it needs more style….
The flat, satchel-like ones aren't too terrible, the bulky ones scream fanny pack though.
Ugly or not, like them or not…fanny packs are great! You don't have to tie up a hand or arm/shoulder like carrying a purse, you don't have to worry about putting your purse down in the shopping cart and someone walking away with it when you turn away, you don't have to worry about having it snatched out of your hand, you don't have to be concerned about where to put it when you sit down at a table for dinner, and so on and so on.
You don´t have to worry about getting compliments on your purse, bag or style from other women…. ever again.
Call them whatever you want, they're still fanny packs…ugly purses for fat old tourists.
Won't catch me in one…ever.
