full disclosure, i am half hispanic: i live near the border and am so sick of the hispanic culture. it's all well and good but i'm at my wits end.

Why do US people get so excited with the 5 de Mayo ? It's not a big thing in Mexico.. why do guys make a big deal of it, it's not like our independence day or anything like that.
