What is up with hats on Kentucky Derby Day? I was at my local racetrack (Penn National) and there were summer dresses and fancy hats EVERYWHERE.
Why are nearly all the outfits eveningwear/cocktail dress + a hat? Isn't Kentucky Derby a daytime event, so maybe better to go with an elegant day dress?? Though got to ask- do people wear what you get at Ascot, (the 'less stylish' ones anyway) loads of orange fake tanned skin on display and wearing stuff that most people wouldn't even go to a club in?!
