The before shots go to prove that most actors look like like average Jane. Unfortunately, Hollywood gives us warped perceptions of what "beauty" should look like. I'm sure if we all had a makeup artist, we'd look just as glamorous and could hide our imperfections.

Half of them look better without the makeup. Also, makeup or not, some of the "non-makeup" shots look like they were taken as they just woke up. Even the prettiest people are tired looking sometime.

To some extent makeup does wonders but some really do look great without makeup!!
