At age 29, Kirsten Dunst collected the Best Actress honor at Cannes yesterday (May 22) despite the recent controversy over the film’s director, Lars Von Trier. He was expelled from the festival last week because of his unacceptable Nazi related remarks at a press release.
Dunst won this honor for her performance in ‘Melancholia.’ She stated: "What a week! My thanks to the Jury, this is a real honor. I'm grateful to the Festival for keeping the film in Competition. And I'm grateful to Lars Von Trier for letting me play the role with such freedom." Furthermore, French actor Jean Dujardin was awarded Cannes best actor for ‘The Artist.’

The only way I’ll go see this movie is if Willem Dafoe stands mniotoless, watching Kirstin Dunst give birth to a stillborn as John Hurt circumcises Charlotte Gainsbourg, while Kiefer Sutherland runs around the room, pantless and masturbating, grunting chaos reigns, chaos reigns, chaos reigns in rhythm with his wrist.
