Does anybody know what is going on in #28 (the birds)? I would really like to find out about this technique! It's amazing and I don't know exactly how I would word a google search for it.
In general it would be AWESOME if every picture had a link to where it was found…there is always something here that I want to know more about!
It looks like the birds were drawn with clear water which made a kind of puddle on the paper. When the inked brush made contact the water pulled in the ink.
Yes, that's correct. It's called "wet on wet" in watercolor terms.

The only thing that really sucks with this site is there is no credit or mention of where the pics come from. So much interesting art, jewelry, places, etc, and no mention on how to find them.
