#7 i loved Richard Harris as Dumbledore. he was amazing. Michael Gambon stepped up pretty well, but Richard Harris is who i view in my brain when i think of Dumbledore.
I think they were both good in their own way. Richard Harris was good for the beginning as the gentle and wise Dumbledore, whereas I think Michael Gambon was good for the protective and fierce Dumbledore that Voldemort fears.
yeah i agree with you. i do love michael gambon. don't get me wrong. i love him. but i do miss wise old richard harris.
I hear ya, it was a sad day when he died. Couldn't have picked a better person to replace him though.
to me he was but a shadow of what Richard Harris brought to the role. we saw Gambon as a more stern and less in control Dumbledore. which is not who Dumbledore's character was. he was gentle and quietly fierce. he relied on his magical ability rather than his ability to look mad. if Richard Harris would have survived to play the part till the end he would have blown away the audience with his commanding will. Michael Gambon was neither funny nor good at displaying patience.
if there is any question about whether Harris could pull off the fearful magician look at his work in Unforgiven and Patriot Games.
Agree completely! Richard Harris was/is Dumbledore! I will not hide my disappointment in who they chose to replace him, though I don't think anyone could. Peter O'Toole might have done a decent job, but still, Richard Harris is how I will always see Dumbledore in my head.
RICHARD HARRIS DIED. That's why he was replaced. God poeple are dumb.
Yes I am aware he died. But Michael gambon still replaced him. And I loved Richard Harris as dumbledore more than Gambon.
well in fairness, Richard Harris died, he wasn't simple replaced
and Robert Patrick as well didn't replace David Duchovny, it was part of the plot and they played different charaters.
yes but this post wasn't about just replacing the character. some were about how they replace the lead role of a tv show. #3 #5 #11 were all playing different characters. not stepping into the role of the previous actor. If that comment makes sense at all…lol
#6 Thank goodness too. I don't know exactly what it is about Terrance Howard, but I just can't stand that guy.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? me and my husband were so mad that they did that, liked terrance better.
Wasn't Mila Kunis always the voice of Meg? *Checks IMDB* Yup, definitely always was.
actually, in the earlier episodes you can tell that meg has a different voice.
Season Uno was Chabert.
Yeah, let's go to the internet to make sure you're correct. You failed in the very beginning, my friend!

The one who's not Sarah Chalke who's name i don't know grew up kinda hot. Was she always attractive?
UGH, not attractive at all…. needs to fix that hairline and ditch the tat
#7
Richard Harris was a Legend and Michael Gambon, while good in his own way doesn't hold a candle to him as Dumbledore.
that's my take as well.
#1 i love Mila Kunis but in the back of my mind i resent her a bit subconsciously because of her role on family guy. they are good at making you hate meg.
meg does not deserved to be hated, but the rest of her family does.
she always gets bullied by her idiotic family for no good reason.
i loved when she went all hard when she came home from prison and put the fear of god into them all!
#9 should have stayed with katie holmes
Katie Holmes was offered the chance to return and declined so she could star in the box office bomb Mad Money
mad money?!? lol never heard of it!
Katie Holmes was AWFUL as Rachel Dawes. Maggie G was much better in the role but in truth it should have been Anne Hathaway as Rachel and someone else as Selina Kyle in the new film.
This article was put together very badly. All actors should have been identified in the captions and additional information on what caused the replacements would have been nice.
I agree, it should have been something like… (actor's name), replaced by (actor's name). It was confusing… for #3, it has the replacement on the left, for #4, the replacements are on the right. Need some uniformity the next time you do it.

#1 I always preferred Lacey as Meg, Mila is hilarious but it bugs me that she has a Long Island accent and the rest of the family doesn't
#13
Sean Connery will always be the best Bond
