#7 – oooh, another person with a Fairy Tattoo – How very original. It's well done but not new unless the chick is Wolverine and her skin heals at super human speed. No offense to you lady but I am not impressed (Not to worry, I have a dragon fly tramp stamp so I am in the same boat with the so not original tattoos – Mine is 11 years old though when it was still cool to get a tramp stamp)
Cindy – sorry to tell you, but I really don't care if I "impress" people. Yeah, it's not an original concept, but I think it's beautiful. I submitted it to the Berry cuz I thought it was awesome. If people don't like it, tough.

Robin dear- have you finished looking over the comments yet? I did not get any of my tattoos to impress people either (as you tried to tell me), they all have a special meaning to me – including my Dragonfly tramp stamp. However, you seem somehow offended by my comment on the generic quality of your not new tattoo – one can only assume that when you post something like this on a public forum website you are indeed hoping to impress people. In this case the attempt at getting positive attention for your generic tattoo has failed. As a result you are lashing out at me. I have 5 tattoos that I find beautiful and uplifting – others may not agree but I am not putting them on The Berry then bitching when people think they are stupid. Think your actions all the way through before you cry over spilled milk.
Cindy – Thank you for clarifying, I apologize. But I just want to tell people, "If you don't like it, don't even comment." It really makes me wonder what type of people are really part of the Berry/Chive, I always thought that these sites were supposed to bring people together to celebrate good times and have fun, not to be intentional a**holes and tear down others, even if they don't like something in a post.
Again, I should clarify. You are taking my comments way too personally. You submitted a picture knowing full well how these sites work. I have seen some truly ugly things said on here for sure. That is the nature of a public forum such as this. The old adage "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all" is a good lesson that I wholeheartedly agree with and will teach my daughter as she grows. HOWEVER – two things remain 1) You chose to submit your picture thereby leaving yourself open to any feed back anyone felt the need to share (good or bad) 2) On the internet I am Cindy and you are Robin, in reality who are we to each other? No one. I don't know you and don't give a shit what you say as you should not give a shit about my opinion. That's all it is – my opinion that I chose to express on a PUBLIC FORUM WEBSITE that you CHOSE to submit your picture to for better or worse. These two sites are very much a perfect picture of bringing folks together. And when people are brought together it is also assumed that opinions, values, morals, etc. will differ. Isn't that the beauty of life? Everyone is different and the Berry and the Chive give us an open forum to share our difference of opinions. We differ in that you think your fairy tattoo is awesome, I disagree. That is all there is to it. Let it slide off your back and enjoy life a little more.

I did. I simply stated my opinion that I felt it wasn't original and being a wife of a tattoo artist I found it odd that your fresh ink left no red marks or swelling and that your artist had not covered it with any form of lubricant or wrap. I was making an observation on a picture of a girl I don't know on a website that people can go to to make comments of people they don't know on a website. I am only reacting to your reaction.
As a tattoo artist myself I also noticed that the tattoo was NOT fresh.
Fairy tattoos can be so beautiful. Why set for flash crap from the wall that 20 other people have?

You know, the BERRY site is such a cool community filled with awesome people, who love funny things to look at during the day. You are such a douche to come in and ruin it for someone. It's not the best tattoo in the world, but it sure as hell isn't the worst either. Did you really have nothing better to do with your day than be a jerk? If I had that much time on my hands, I think I would choose to do something amazing instead of something bitchy. P.S. A tramp stamp was never that cool.

This thread has been highly entertaining. I don't give a crapp about the tatoos, but, the bitchingg back and forth has been fan-freaking-tastic. You all have way too much time on your hands. As do I. #7 You certainly are a brave one, putting your generic fairy tattoo up for critique on the internet. Were it on any other site than the Berry, things could get downright nasty. I think so far, I'm impressed with how sugarcoated people have been.
Personally, I've never understood the allure of the Fairy tattoo. Why yes, I do have a naked girl sitting on my shoulder, isn't that wonderful?
Why is everyone hating on this girl and her tattoo? If she got a faery it probably means something more to her than just "Look, it's a faery!". If it makes her happy, that's all that matters. It's on her body forever, not anyone else's. I'm sure strangers on the internet aren't going to change what the tattoo means to her.

#7 I think it is a lovely tattoo. Generic, yes, but lovely nonetheless and well done. I understand that this picture was submitted to a website and by doing so, opened up to the world's criticism, but for @#$@ sake, stop being children. We all have things in our lives that we love and would love to show off…just because this tattoo isn't your cup of tea, don't ruin this girl's day by ragging on something she obviously likes and had the guts enough to submit a photo of.
Well said! I appreciate your words and agree. I am only responding to her as I enjoy the banter. I am not intending to ruin her day. Actually, as much as I enjoy the banter I have to get going. I agree the work is well done but I still defend my right to assess it as I see fit! One last thought – If she wasn't on here and responding personally, would anyone take issue with my opinion? No one cares how mean anyone gets as long as the person isn't directly responding? Is that it? For all we know someone on here could say something horribly mean and the person doesn't respond but decides to drink them-self into oblivion. Just because she is on here doesn't make her feelings more important then anyone else. If I am criticized for disliking her tattoo then how come no one else is yelled at for any other negative comments. It's all or nothing. The tattoo pic isn't the only thing that's getting bashed on here. And you're "getting yelled at" because it's very obvious that you like to push buttons and it really makes you come across as kind of a b*tch. Instead of this big long paragraph going on about how it's "so generic" and blah blah blah, you could've just simply stated that you didn't really like it. #7 Wow guys, I didn't know so many people would comment on this photo! I understand that not everyone likes my tattoo, and that is fine, you're entitled to your own opinions. Thanks to everyone that left a positive comment; even with all the haters, I still love it. I knew I would get hefty criticisms from people. It's not on their body, so I don't see why so many people have such a problem with it. But whatever, they can complain all they want. =)
