It's just terrible. Not the gaining but the losing, too. Christian Bale is one of the best examples. I don't even know whether to be impressed or scared. Machinist? Holy shit…
Renee losing and gaining for Bridget and the other movies… I heard that Jared Leto ate soup for 2 weeks to lose weight after 'Chapter'.
I just hope their bodies are still working…
It's worth noting that a lot of the time when celebrities do this they do it under the eye of a healthcare professional to ensure that it's as safe as possible. Christian Bale weighed something like 125 pounds or so for The Machinist and then put weight back on and built muscle over the course of a few months for Batman Begins. Even when he did The Fighter he lost a fair amount of weight to play a drug addicted former boxer. For a lot of actors it's just part of the craft.
and yet, it is not for us to judge them. If I was getting paid millions, that is all the motiviation I would need to lose a few. Especially under a professional's care. Not a problem. And we may "hear they ate only soup for 2 weeks," but who really knows?
#1 Yikes, he does not look good with extra weight on him.
#1 Saw the movie. It was garbage. Gaining weight was a WASTE / WAIST of time. Boooo hisssssss
#7 I guess I'm a chubby chaser, because I think he looks tons cuter with the weight on.
