If you have never seen it – watch Bardem in Mar Adentro (The Sea Inside) — in Spanish but with subtitles. (I don't know if there is an English language soundtrack – I speak Spanish so I never checked).
Dude was freakin' ROBBED of the Oscar that year. One of the most powerful performances I have ever seen by any actor. Just be prepared to cry your eyes out for much of the movie. That said, it isn't depressing.
Movies are so much better in their native languages. Who would want to ruin it with voiceovers?
