#15 love this!
What a great collection? I remember many of these, though some of the series stuff, I didn’t read (though my brothers read Animorphs). We had Popcorn and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, those exact copies! My, we loved those books. I was a huge fan of the Berenstein Bears, and helped to wear all our copies out. Also, I still love The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
When I was a bit older, I loved My Side of the Mountain, and other books by Jean Craighead George. Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume were a huge part of my life, and in case anyone cares, the new Ramona and Beezus movie is REALLY good, and true to the books. Thanks for the short walk down memory lane!
#15 I can tear up thinking about that book. I credit those RL Stine books with my eldest son's love of reading.
For those of you with pre-k and elementary age children I reccomend Patricia Polacco's books. Beautiful art and stories.
#6 All boys and Girls had to read this one when I was in the 6th grade, Detroit.
Bought one for my daughter.
Use to read it to my son when he was little
Run, run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the stinky cheese man!
#27 OMG! I've read that a hundred times!
#15 That book always made me and my mom cry.
#4 – I completely forgot about this one! & #17 – I still read this when I'm having a bad day. It always makes me feel better. I used to read it to my Kindergarteners when I was having a bad day too- they love that book!
What about "The adventures of Super Fudge"?!!!!!!!
#9 #29 I read, the rest i didn't.
In England we use to read Burglar Bill, Roald Dahl' Revolting rhymes not to mention his other books, Flat Stanley, Funny Bones & On the way home.
Flat Stanley!! I totally forgot about that book. So fun.
this was awesome….this was my favorite, I forgot all about it! #26
#27 – I had a nightmare where the Stinky Cheese Man was chasing my car and I saved the family by telling them to hold their noses. It was epic.

#25 I still have a copy of this.
I remember ordering these books (Sleepover Friends for sure) from those thin, crinkly, ghetto Scholastic catalogs in school.
this is such a funny book!
it makes kids and adults laugh!
#7 was actually written about my elementary school. The author's kid went there a few years before me <3
My absolute favorite series as a kid!!
#19 The Berenstain Bears and The Hipsters
#25 Jean Craighead George– one of my favorite authors when I was younger! I wrote a letter to her and she actually wrote back and included a little drawing at the top of the letter!
