Damn it, she can probably already out run me…..Have ever seen a 3 year old's energy level???
#4 – I love that picture.
#1 Worth it.
Heart warming to see #4
I love this! #1 I'd like to see more of these. Puts a lot in perspective to if it's worth it or not!
Most places have nutrition facts for their food items, you just have to ask. Places like Wendy's or McDonalds actually have them listed on the back of those paper tray covers
Its funny how everyone thinks that fat is your enemy when carbs are the ones that need to go. Im on the Keto diet and its a wonderful diet. I get to carb up every two weeks. Try it out its the best diet ever.
Keto diet really isn't good for you. Glucose (which you get from the breakdown of carbs) is the brains primary energy source. When there aren't carbs to make glucose, the body moves onto fat, which produces ketones. The heart actually uses ketones as its primary fuel, but the brain uses it as a secondary source. After a long period of time without carbs the body can go into ketosis because ketones are acidic. But good luck with that Keto Girl
I've intentionally been in ketosis for a year, and am healthier and feel better than I ever have. Why is ketosis a bad thing?
It increases the acidity in the blood, which can cause someone to go into ketoacidosis. Some doctors are completely against low (or no) carb diets, but there are some who encourage their patients to practice this. Personally I don't recommend cutting out carbs, because if you think about it you're cutting out an entire group and the nutrients that come with it. Its never a good idea to completely cut something out.
Particularly dangerous if you are a diabetic, or an alcoholic
I'll agree that for type 1 diabetics and alcoholics, the accumulation of ketones can be horrible. But for a person with a normal system, insulin keeps this in check. I've never heard of ketoacidosis outside of these groups of people.
And I totally disagree about cutting a group out, because cereal grains (especially wheat/gluten) are a total detriment.. but that's another debate completely.
You've most likely kept your ketosis under control. Other than alcoholics and diabetics, ketosis occurs during starvation/fasting.
Wheat and gluten are a totally different thing. In people who don't have a medical condition such as celiac's disease, wheat and gluten are absolutely fine.
By the way, would you classify your breath as fruity? Lol
#13, I see you pound cake
I cannot read any of it, the picture and font is too tiny : '(
A good simple rule is the 3,2,1 rule. 3 meals, 2 snacks, and 1 liter of water. Of course healthy food helps but it’s a good rule to start off with
One of my favorite tags on theBerry, but I wish pictures were in bigger resolution, cause pictures like #13, I cannot read much on it : '(
would it be possibel to get the original resolution when clicking on it instead of the same size as in the thread? same for pics with magazine scans with text. that would be really awesome!
Its like a daily dose of ‘getOFFyourSorryAssNess’. Love the inspiration. Thanks!
