#16 CANNOT for the life of me figure out how to do this. I have mostly Essie brand nail polish and when I drop the polish in the water, it stays in a little ball and sinks to the bottom😦

Are you using bottled water? I find that it works much better for water marbaling

      • Jeanne

No I haven't tried bottled water yet, I'll have to next time, thanks for the tip!:)

    • lekjviger

Sometimes it happens to me too. Try another brand?

      • Jeanne

I was hoping to use my Essie polishes since that's the only brand I've found so far that doesn't chip on me within a day (I've tried OPI, Orly, Zoya, Sally Hansen and I don't remember how many types of base/top coat haha). I'll try buying some from other brands and seeing if it works better, thanks:)

It has to be room temperature water for it to work, and also a newer nail polish, so that it is still quite runny, not like the old thick product. Hope that helps:)

      maybe it's not water?

      • Jeanne

I see someone else commented below that it's distilled water, I might have to try that instead too:)
