#8 :) always used to say that

I could not have been more excited yesterday to have my back feel 95% better and be able to work out again for the first time in a week!….that week was way too long of a break for me (even though my body desperately needed it), I definitely am very happy to be back to my daily Insanity routine!

  • Foon

Berry, I don't understand why you post pictures of skinny girls yet you have a picture like #12. I think daily motivation should be things about loving yourself no matter how you are. Seeing pictures of people working out is fine of course but pictures of skinny girls just reminds me of those pro-ana blogs, not saying that these posts ARE pro-ana. I just think it's basically saying "this is how you need to look".

    • Foon

heh… no one seems to agree…:/

    • socalmarti

I agree, the girls are a little on the unrealistic, very young, very thin side. Even athletic women tend to have a little more meat on their bones, unless they are extreme athletes on the competitive level.

I've been on the Pro Ana/Mia sites.
      I was Ana/Mia.

This is nothing like that. Stop complaining, get off your butt, and go work out!

I bruised my achilles tendon, so much so that it's starting to pull away from the muscle and is degrading (gross, right?) I've been off of it for a almost two months now. It's driving me crazy, but it's a tough injury to really heal. These daily motivation posts keep my motivation high and reeling to go, that way when I can finally get back, I won't be persuaded to skip a few days "just because". Thanks Berry!

#6- how are you making that stir-fry? It might not be as healthy as you think… stir-fry is usually fried in peanut oil. I really applaud your efforts to eat healthy, but I don't think stir-fry is the way to go.
If i am mistaken about your preparation method, I apologize. Just trying to help.:)

Also, is chicken really that healthy? I mean technically it could be organic and free range and all that…but #14 less meat more veggies is definitely a good thing to keep in mind

    • Soulfire

No need to apologize. I sprayed the bottom of the pan with light cooking spray and that was it. And I used half of a breast of chicken. Tried to use more veggies than anything else. I'm not saying it's perfect, just that I'm trying to get on track! =) Thanks for the help!!

  • Justhrowit

I say this all the time in the gym to people asking me about my workouts, etc. "The only person you need to compare yourself to is the person you saw in the mirror yesterday". Love this!

  • Bekah

    Thanks for the daily motivation!

  • Lisa

#16 Sweet jesus she made that look easy!

  • socalmarti

#16 I'd be lucky to make headstand into wall! Amazing! Inspirational!

#2 I thought avocado was quite high in calories? Yummy though.

    • http://afitlife24.blogspot.com/ Alyssa

..they are high in healthy fats that won't raise your cholesterol. They also contain 60% more potassium than a banana…but since they are a high fat food, it is not recommended to eat, lets say, a whole avocado in one sitting, but a few slices on a salad certainly won't hurt

  • MissChris

#13 Aw, my plate has 2 corn dogs on it… 😦

  • Megan

#14 is not all correct. "Less sugar, more fruits"? Fruits are packed with sugar!!!

    • avreno

But they are natural sugars as opposed to processed sugar found in soft drinks and sweet foods =)

  • Kaitlyn

Listen #14 is easier said then done…..

After a long day of creative thiiknng I decided on a break. I checked on my facebook page to get some laughs as I usually laugh at my goofy friends. As I scrolled down and read the posts, I came across an old familiar name. At first I couldn’t place it but ahh, it all started to come back to me. It was my arch enemy Sue commenting on my high school best friends post. Something about Oh those were such good times, what I wouldn’t do to go back’..I used to be intimidated by Sue. She always seemed to have it all together and I was always striving for more, something I thought I could never have. I was jealous. Green with envy. She was mean and hurtful, a bully I suppose.I had forgotten about her.Now reading her posts allowed me to reflect briefly and re learn a very good lesson. She is still stuck in the past. That was the only time she shone. If she were striving for more and excited about each new day, she would not be wishing back her past. She longs for the attention and admiration she used to get. Hence the words used to’. The poor soul, she is truly stuck. For the first time thiiknng about Sue made me sad for her. With so much in the world to experience she is stuck at 17.I am no longer Green. I am no longer jealous. I am happy. I am loved. I have the best friends in the whole world. And I am still striving for more.Sue, meet my friend Karma!
