My hubby and I started dating when I was 17 and he was 20. We knew from the start that it was a 'forever' relationship. Because we knew we were going to be together long-term, we didn't hurry to get married. We took our time and got engaged after 8 years together and got married at 9 years together. We knew our love was strong enough to get through tough times and felt no need in proving our relationship to anyone by getting married sooner.
I once heard an old couple being interviewed about their 60 year marriage and they asked how they managed it. The old woman replied "We never fell out of love with each other at the same time". I think that just means that when one person doesn't know who they are in the relationship, just hope that the other person is fighting for you to stay.
I wish the best of luck to these two. It must be hard living in the spotlight, but if they commit fully, then they should go the distance.

I actually think they might last. The main difference between them and recently failed relationships (Katy+Russell, Kim+Kris) is time. Liam + Miley have been dating for 3 years, that's a shit load longer than most Hollywood marriages. Best of luck to them both

….I wish them the best, but man, I got married at 28 and as good as it felt, the ideas we shared and dreamed about, smh, it was still too young for us, now, at 30, I would have changed so much. And thier lives are so FAST! All the movies, press, $, eyes always watching…. I just cant see this going past A few years, she is SO young and can grow much more than he, and ALDREADY IS!!!! I got married at 19 (husband was 24) and just celebrated our 9-year anniversary. Doesn't take a certain age to make a marriage work, just maturity and a willingness to work your butt off for it. Marriage is hard, no matter how old you are going in.
