Wish it worked that way, but unless it's an unusually loud shower, it can be heard (if you cry out loud, so to speak). More importantly, it shouldn't be a bad thing to cry. Crying is a way to relieve stress and it should be completely acceptable.
Also, I share my fears with #9 not with painting, but my creativity in general.

Whenever I cry in front of my boyfriend (whether it's because of him or not), he just gets so upset that I end up comforting him lol it's terrible. It's the only reason I try really hard not to cry when he's around, because I don't want to make him sad.

  • Jayetheb

I have the same fear every time I use the big trash bins at work….

    • Amy

me too. I obsess over it. checking my hand all the time.

    • sean

im a guy and i usually wear 2 rings on my right hand (titanium ring on middle finger and tungsten-carbide ring on ring finger, both "manly" rings). Till i lost the titanium ring in a tiny little trash bin next to an ATM at a gas station. threw away my receipt and in went the ring😦. as small as the bin was i never found my ring😥 lol

      • Jayetheb

That sucks! I've never had it happen, but I tend to lose things soooo.. And most of my rings are heirlooms!!

        • sean

I never lose things and im always really careful, but my fingers had "shrunken" and gotten really dry from it being so cold that morning so the ring slipped right off:/ lol. still havent gotten a replacement >.>

    #13 rocks

    • JenS

Agreed! I think I am going to start doing this.:)

    • flibble

I overfill these usig a set of scales and junk mail. then send them back. 1. the recieving company has to pay the extra and 2. you get rid of your junk mail.

      • mshoneybooboo

This is an excellent idea. Must start doing this…must support one of the jobs they can't export!

    • Shannon Lee

      ❤ it!

    • stevenfbrackett

Better yet is when you use prepaid envelopes and stuff them with a competitor's ad/pitch.

    • PeppersNEggs

They already paid for it. You don't need to send it back. – But I do love the idea of sticking it to the CC companies

    • bbbbb

the USPS is terrible to its employees.

    • VCB

I rip up the forms or garbage that came with the envelopes and send it back to them.

  • Sade

#10 Embarrassment just waiting to happen!

    • stevenfbrackett

Exactly. Better hope no one bumps into them or the handle breaks.

As a guy this sounds like a tough one. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

  • rae

I look preg in my old work uniform so when older people would ask how far along i was i would lie and say 7 months just so i wouldn't hurt their feelings. I got caught once lieing about it to an old lady by a reg customer waited until the old women left my counter and told my reg customer that no i was not preg i just didnt see the point in making some one feel bad that i am fat.

  • ShantiOmJoy

#9 I can relate-But I have actually become a better painter when sober. Lots of details come out now that weren't there before.

  • KYLE

#1 I had the same thought, but regarding my apartment key which I realized one night, was in the same hand as the bags I was dropping in the dumpster.

  • socalmarti

#9 and #12 hit home for me and #13 is brilliant! Might do if I can remember!!!

  • Irish Ali

#13 I think I might start doing that…. Great idea!!

  • Lisa

#1, in my opinion, y'all may not be as worried about losing the ring as you are worried about losing the relationship. The ring is a symbol of that. And I understand your stress.

#5, mine did. Yours will. And you'll get through it. So will they. It's a part of life.

#2, heart goes out to you. Here's hoping y'all will come to a point of peace.

  • Jenni

#3 I am a 20 year old virgin…. people rarely believe me it sucks not being trusted. #7 yes… #8 Your not the only one…

  • Becki

#10 – Why don't you get a TSA lock and put it on your bag o'toys? That's what I do!!

    • stevenfbrackett

Or a firesafe lockbox – you can say it's to keep your important papers safe, just in case. Or buy a storage trunk 'to keep your off-season clothing in' – and a little extra. They have locks on them.

      So many alternatives.

  • Manning181

#8 Once when I weighed more than I do now, I was at a bookstore checking out baby name books for a preggers friend. A saleslady came by and assumed I was preggers myself and asked me all these uber personal questions. I went along with it cause it was way less awkward than telling the truth, but also it made me feel really bad for pregnant women! Do strangers always ask personal questions of preggers women?! You're a stranger, you don't need to know if the dad is in the picture, or if "we" want to find out the sex!! Anyways. It was weird.

  • jwnj

#13 is funny! everyone should do that! then they will stop paying the postage though.
