I don't think nuts count as sugar?

    • googleberry

Yeah….there is SOME sugar in them…up to almost 8% depending on which nut. But the fat and protein in them is much greater.

      • Sarah

yeah, i think they are more of a good fat than a good sugar

#5 Peanuts and Cashews only have 1-2 grams of sugar per serving(also 1-2 grams total carbs). Not sure nuts really qualify either way.
Now, on the other hand, the chocolate cake I had for breakfast….

Another tool in your belt for weight management (to gain or to lose)…. thermogenics! (there have been studies done on this and I'll post them if anyone is interested.)

Generally, to gain weight, keep your body warmer…warmer clothes, warmer house/apt/work, warmer baths/showers, warmer food… Your body doesn't have to work as hard to maintain its temperature.

To lose weight, cooler clothes, or fewer layers of clothing, environment, baths/showers and cooler food…especially ICE in your drinks. So easy. For example, when you get goosepimples, that is your body shivering and using more energy to maintain its temperature. But you don't have to have goosepimples to actually be burning more energy.

I want to gain weight at some point, but I don't like wearing warmer clothes.. Awww, I'm doing everything wrong!
But I guess mostly I just want to replace some of my body fat with muscles (I'm still what people call "skinny fat"!) so that will probably make me gain weight sooner or later.

      • googleberry

You're doing fine! Being on here is the best thing you can do!!!!

By dressing warmer, you don't have to go all out, maybe just add a tissue weight tank under everything. Not when it's really hot of course, but every little bit helps. The tank will keep your core just a bit warmer. And yes, muscles weigh more than fat. ❤❤❤
