some of you may remember me being nervous about my first 5k and finishing last or something…
well, I ran that 5k today and I am soooo proud of myself right now.
I live in a small town so there weren't a lot of women participating (only about 21 or 22 or something, i believe. about 20 people also ran 10k…I'll be one of them sooner or later!) BUT I wasn't the slowest little snail there, even passed some people after the first mile and everyone, even total strangers, cheered and applauded when I finished.
My body is a lot more amazing than I thought… I guess it's usually my low self esteem that gets in the way.
But theBerry and days like today definitely help😀

      Great job!!

That's so awesome! You deserve to be really proud! I'm running my first 5k in a couple weeks, and I'm also nervous about coming in last or not being able to finish it. But you've made me feel a lot more confident in my ability! In fact, I think I'll go for a run right now! Thanks for the motivation!:)

      • Suggie

I know its hard to do but don't worry! I did my first 10k last week and drove myself (and my poor daughters) crazy worrying. To make it worse, I was starting my run with a colleague who does marathons! I finished 5 min after her!
As doerteee says, sometimes we're much better than we think.
So, go for it and have a great time! xD

    • Suggie

Well done!! Enjoy the congratulations and admiration!:-) Its the best part of the reward! Very proud of you! (and no doubt you'll rock the 10k!)xD

    • Megs

Conrats on your first 5K! I volunteer at a few marathons and there were two ladies that finished last and they were the most proud of finishing and everyone stayed to watch them cross the line and cheer them on! It was a great moment to see. Good luck on your 10k!

First of all, great job! That must be a great feeling! Second of all, don't even worry about coming last! Who cares if you do? Someone has to, and it's still a lot better that not running it, so feel proud no matter what!

yeah, i'm not a person that responds to yelling, anger and what seems like insults. lol I'd get up and start cussing someone out. lol.

Agreed, I'm SO glad she's coming back for the next season! Jillian is a hard ass, but she's seriously motivational.

    • socalmarti

She seriously puts things into perspective!

    I LOVE yoga!!!

#8 Had to do rope climbing for the first time today (at CrossFit). Came home, showered (very hard),took a nap. Was unable to use my arms!
#13 My Trainer yelled and was rough today. I must say, didn't like it. I'm obviously not the type of person who needs to be intimidated verbally to perform! For goodnes' sake, being there and giving it my ALL should be good enough!

  • socalmarti

    #4 Why the gloves?

  • Kimber

#16 you are soooooooooo gorgeous! Keep up the good work!

Hello. I'm Matt and I love Daily Motivation. I'm 35 and weighed 346 pounds. My doctor introduced me to Lose It! A free phone app that is a calorie counter that helps you lose weight through portion control. That, a little exercise, and Daily Motivation has helped me lose 41 pounds since May. Every morning before I get up, I grab my cell phone, look up The Berry, and start my day with a boost of can-do attitude even before my feet hit the floor. It has made a difference and I want to say thank you, thank you, and thank you.

    • googleberry

Gooooo Matt! Great work! Keep going….you'll feel better, too. The DM helps soooo much!

I finished my first week of Insanity! I feel … exhausted, but I'm so glad I pushed myself through the workout today. I almost didn't do it because I was tired. Now, I'm full of energy (for the time being) and I know I'll sleep good tonight!! My body feels stronger, and even though the scale isn't showing much difference, I know my body's changing. I am way excited.:)
