LOL that's exactly what I thought! Is it possible this 'mummy porn' everyone is drooling over is written by a man? That it's not erotica for women written by a woman? I've read one paragraph and to quote a phrase written twice in that one paragraph; Holy Shit! That's so….hot. NOT. There's sexier stuff written on the toilet door.

#13 … I don't think there's significance in the size of the diamonds in Scar Jo and Blake's rings. Scarlett seems like such an earthy person that something minimal and meaningful would be best. Blake, given her high fashion spreads, friends and career moves seems like she enjoys the higher end of life. I think Ryan did a GREAT job on both rings.

#10 Was I the only one who wasn't impressed with 50 Shades? And honestly I was a little surprised that's what got the women of America all fired up. Maybe I'm jaded but I was hoping for something a little more adventurous. Christian was WAY controlling (even if it was out of love, if he wasn't young, hot and rich he'd be labeled as a stalker) and Anna was whiny with way too many references to her "inner goddess". THOUGHTS???

100% agree. it's truly frightening that these books were so successful. the BDSM stuff aside, the way he treats her otherwise is manipulative and abusive.

ALM- you are totally right. it was kind of cheesy, poorly written and christian was way too controlling. however, it was a quick and easy read that was entertaining in that trashy novel that became culturally ok for women to read so it served its purpose. i don't really understand the haters (not directed at you. some other people have been very aggressive with their hate) who just rail on it. it's not shakespeare, and it wasn't meant to be. besides, anything that makes women more comfortable with their own sexuality is a good thing right?

I agree with you in those respects baylee. I know it's not Shakespeare and I don't always read a book for literary caliber. I have my bouts of brain candy as I like to call them. And I completely agree with your point about it having the positive effect of making women more comfortable with their sexualities. I am all for that overall positivity and growth. I guess I was expecting so much and I was disappointed when it fell flat. Anyone have other recommendations for the fun, trashy novels or just brain candy in general?javascript:insertSmileyReply(":)");

#9 Got excited when you said this flick was directed by Clint; but then discovered it wasn't. Sad panda. Robert Lorenz is the director, though I may still check this out for Eastwood.
