Hmmm so according to #23 I am half Nerd, half Geek … yeah, I can live with that

• Katie O

I'm half and half too! Is it weird that I was like "cool dalek toy nerd! wonder where i can get that"

• Katie

So basically it's Star Trek Vs Star Wars? Someone was just lazy when they made that

• LittleCupcake

I do #22 all the time during school!

• kikiklas

the correct way is to remove the eraser.

• socalmarti

• socalmarti

Aaahhhhh……. so true! How did I miss that, face palm! Is not enough coffee a legitimate excuse?!!?😉

• Sarah

I LOVE #16 – and I'm not even a Trekkie! My brother would be all over this… I wish I could buy it for him for Christmas, but I'm sure it's like… a thousand and a half dollars and my budget is $20… Lol.

#4 necessary or unnecessary????<img src="http://tinyurl.com/c7gx5zk" width="1" height="1" />

• googleberry

Having worked the help desk, I'd say NECESSARY!

• Katie

Doesn't matter, its awesome!

• Seldi84

#1 Awesome, And it's the best doctor as well.
#17 I have those, they are awesome but you can't build an ice fort with them though.

• goose

#1 i tried watching doctor who, but was so turned off by the first few episodes. i know this show is all over the berry for a reason, so can someone please explain where it gets good?

• googleberry

I agree, goose. For some reason, even though I love all the SciFi stuff, I can't seem to get into Dr. Who. Torchwood is/was ok, though….

• Katie O

NERD ALERT: The Doctor chooses a normal everyday girl (that usually has a drab life) to travel space and time with. There is usually a budding romance. Who wouldn't want that?! I think it's just one of those love or hate shows. I personally love how nerdy and delightful it is. And it is also one of those shows you have to start from the beginning. I'm on the 5th Season and they still make references to season 1. The original show started way back in the 60s so there is a definite following in the UK and now globally. <END NERD ALERT>

#19 i love this. i'm glad there was at least one harry potter reference:)

#4 about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Want one

• TV Geek

They are missing the entire concept entirely. Listen people. A nerd and a geek are on the surface the same thing. Both the nerd and geek have a singular focus in life; something they devote themselves to other than work and relationships. Now the difference comes in when you look at the focus. A nerd will be much more academic. Your classic nerds are math and science, where you can also have history or literature. Someone who devotes themselves to the study of poetry is still a nerd, just a more accepted one than someone who devotes themselves to microbiology. A geek is someone who is less academic and more hobby oriented. This comes out in the obsessions (not the right word but you understand) of media things (i.e. TV shows, movies, comics etc.) There is a bit of overlap between the two, but I hope this makes people understand the difference. You can have a dumb geek, and a nerd who doesn't know what a phaser is. It all depends on your focus. I appreciate your attention. With love, TV Geek.

• Nataly

Way to take it seriously…

• Colin

But in all seriousness, spot on with your analysis. As a life long academic nerd, the break down in the differentiation of the two has been irritating, to say the least.

• P90

#18 IM FTW.

• Angina

#11 want!

• Bob

#4…Jesus dude, just turn the thing over.

I kinda don't agree with #23. I'm a little insulted by the portrayal of the Star Trek fan! I'm a Trek fan. 😛

• Knorkasthur
• Leigh

#21❤ this!

#23 <- definitely a Geek

#8 i have that!

• boldspoo

#23 I think that's probably one of the worst attempts at defining the two and slightly offensive to nerds. Most geeks don't invent/fix anything, nerds do. I also don't get the nerd's computer… that set up would be a wicked fancy DIY set up and still cost the same amount as the 'geek's' depressing Apple setup. Frankly the overall appearance (attire and accessories) of the 'geek' looks more like a hipster than anything. For shame…
