#19 are the stairs actually floating, I don't understand it.

    • socalmarti

They're candelevered, meaning the support is running in the middle all the way through, with some sort of L shaped joint in the wall for the oppositional support.

      • googleberry

Yes! You GO, girl! Def. cantilevered. The joint is also probably secured to something weighty to handle the extra weight of someone pushing off of the stair. Interiors people have to take Structures classes, too.😀

        • socalmarti

can you beleive my spelling on cantilevered? I just looked back and giggled, where was my coffee? LOL!!!:)

          • googleberry

I understood it, though! My brain automatically converted it. Coffee fixes just about EVERYTHING! 😀
