it says Cast Iron, which apparently you're not supposed to clean with soap.

yeah, soap isn't good for the iron, you're supposed to "season" it with grease and bake it in the oven. It basically just keeps it from rusting.

Could somebody explain #1 to me ? I'm Brazilian, my English skills are very good, but i just couldn't figure out what she cleans when her husband is away…

She said cast iron. You should never clean cat iron with soap. Just hot water , scrub the pan and then put some oil in it after.

Thank you people!….What a witch, to ruin such good pans like that, we have a few tools made of cast iron, we only clean them with water and then put some oil on them…or else…

And that is a horrible thing because?
It's actually OK to wash them with a mild soap & hot water as long as you dry them completely & then coat them with a thin layer of oil to "season" them again.
My grandmother washed her Iron Skillets all the time and it never harmed them.

There are always exceptions, in life.. When I was a kid, I always stepped on the cracks, when walking.. Nothing ever happened to my mom's back..(you have to be a certain age to understand that)
