#1 "It's gonna be me!"
yesss NSync always
No way, BSB for life.
Nsync!!!! All the way!
#3 They recently brought the originals back! I skipped all the way to the check-out counter. :p
Really?!? I'm gonna have to look for those. I've been looking for them for a while now.
That's awesome! I'm going to be on the look out as well! Oh the memories.
yeah! they even re-aired the original commercial during the Grammy's.
You know the one where she's in the airplane lavatory and makes all those oohing and ahhing noises?
Yesssss I'm so going to stock up
Yes! I love it all!
& is it weird that I kind of miss #13? Like, the anxiety mixed with excitement as you waited to see, "would it connect? would it be busy?" and then you'd hear the click and the static and be like "YES! Chatrooms here I come!! A/S/L?" lol Gah I'm so glad I got to experience AOL as a teenager
I miss it too! And hearing "You've got mail!" and be like eeeeee!!!
haha YES I miss that! Might have to make my mail tone on my phone the old You've Got Mail voice…
YES, GIRL!!! My internet was always wonky no matter if it was earthlink, aol, bellsouth? or that k mart one. I would have to get up and turn away with all the anxiety waiting to log in. God knows once in, I was up to no good in those damn chatrooms….. I lived in teenpalace and neonteen. Goodtimes…….
so essentially you just stole the entire Buzzfeed article and posted its images. IN ORDER! Thats pathetic.
Because the content on the internet is so original, right?!! As George Lopez says "why you cryin'"?
Berry needs to stop taking posts from buzzfeed. Complete plagiarism.
[...] Growing up as a teenage girl in ’90s was, like, so hard. [...]
I love ALL of these!! This just made my day!
This whole post put a smile on my face
#1 have to go with BSB!! They were great then and just as good now!
I cannot say this enough… who CARES if Berry takes post from other websites?! Unlike you luntatics who scour the web ALL DAY long looking at every post ever made… SOME of us ONLY come to the Berry… so I've said it before and I'll say it again… if they don't take things from other websites, then some of us might never get to see it. Get over it. *sigh* /end rant.
If I took the time to make a completely original article for my website that I got paid for, I would be highly pissed that some other website blatantly stole it without crediting me for my work.
It's plagiarism and it's unprofessional. There's nothing wrong with reposting, but you have to credit the original author. Otherwise, it's stealing.
Articles like these are why I don't "berry" as often anymore. As someone whose livelihood depends on the articles I write for the internet, if theberry took some of my work and reposted it, I would do litigation. That is money out of my pocket.
Thanks to theberry I got to see this post and reminisce.
Exactly. I only berry and chive. So if it's somewhere else I won't see it. Thank u.
It's not stealing or plagiarism when you take photos from a website and post it on another. They didn't create those photos, theyre not original artwork made by the other website, they too took them from A website and then posted them. So because the berry took them and then posted them in (gasp) the same order you think that's plagiarism?? Sorry but your lawsuit would go nowhere and your argument is just silly.
It's actually a better post on Buzz Feed: http://www.buzzfeed.com/amandamarsh/the-typical-d…
If you wrote a blog (or a magazine, book, or song lyrics), Pickles, I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate it if someone copied you even if they tried to justify it with "Well, not all people read your work…so why can't I let my readers read it from me?"
Again, no one wrote anything original here. It isn't artwork and it isn't literature. They're photos, taken from somewhere else on the internet. I think some people need to study up on what plagiarism really means.
"Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "purloining and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions," and the representation of them as one's own original work…Plagiarism is not the same as copyright infringement. While both terms may apply to a particular act, they are different concepts. Copyright infringement is a violation of the rights of a copyright holder, when material restricted by copyright is used without consent. On the other hand, the moral concept of plagiarism is concerned with the unearned increment to the plagiarizing author's reputation that is achieved through false claims of authorship. Plagiarism is not illegal towards the author, but towards the reader, patron or teacher. Even when copyright has expired, false claims of authorship may still constitute plagiarism." (Wikipedia)
In short, it's an affront to the reader to propose this as an original idea. And regarding copyright infringement, the Buzz Feed article does the correct thing by properly identifying the products in the advertisements. The Buzz Feed article also has text detailing a day in the life of a 90's teen.
Some people are just pointing out that it's not an original idea. Just like if Buzz Feed were to copy the images from a Daily Motivation post. Not illegal, but deceitful.
Yes I miss the 90's! lol I miss a specific lotion that Maurices sold back then. I remember it was blue but that is all. If I ever find it…..
Okay, so why do I come to the berry if I'm just going to get Buzzfeed posts? I might as well save myself some time and just skip theBerry.
The 90's were awesome!!
#17 My hubby and i have these on our bedroom ceiling!! We look at the "stars" together every night before we go to sleep!
Nice job megan aka: super plagiarizer
I loved this whole post! Ahhhhhh memories (:
Argh! I'd buy a copy of #2
