First off, thank you to the lovely Alex George for featuring me. You’re a babe.
My name is Joel Alexander. I’m 25. This makes me a Taurus, which is a pretty lame Ford car and I guess means some other things as well about how I am in relationships? I don’t know. I moved from Nashville, TN to Los Angeles, CA about a year ago but was born in the weather state of Michigan.
My dreams of going to school and being normal were short-lived. Having a GED labeled me as a troubled kid. The Air Force wouldn’t take me and neither would Starbucks. I worked in construction until I was 19. This is the short version of this part of my story. At the age of 19, I found myself questioning what the meaning of life was. I had a brief conversation with God and simply told Him, “Your plans are far better than mine. I want to do what you want me to do. Use me.” I later had the opportunity to pursue a career in music and public speaking. Around the time my music career was developing, I was getting my haircut and was asked if I ever thought about modeling. Next thing I knew, I was walking up a runway, back down a runway and into a locker room where guys and girls were ripping off their clothes to change into their next look. I saw my first set of boobs that day. So cool. I am now represented by IMG Models in New York.
I am very blessed to have such a great team behind me. I recently shot a couple things for GQ Magazine. I believe they both come out in May. The beard has lead to a lot of really great opportunities. I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately for work and have found that my guitar is my best friend. It almost always goes with me. Song writing is my therapy. I don’t have a girlfriend but write about an imaginary one. She’s amazing, beautiful, has a huge heart, loves Jesus and wants to have a family someday. She hasn’t showed up yet though. Hopefully soon ;)
I also operate Love More Give More—an organization that builds humanitarian and
environmental campaigns for fashion brands. This connects them with their local community and brings a positive change to reality. www.lovemoregivemore.com I would like to give every ounce of the glory to God for His faithful love, grace and acceptance. I don’t understand why He loves me as much as He does.
