We tried all the spring makeup so you don’t have to!
It’s finally spring and that means there are tons of new beauty products hitting the market. Here at The Berry’s New York headquarters we tried out some of the most innovative new items and let you know which stole our hearts.
Creating a flawless face is all about a perfect base. We love that this season there are undercover products specifically focused on color correction. Because green-hued concealer counteracts redness in the skin, it is ideal for covering a zit or blotchiness. We loved this chubby
Cover Color(t) Corrector from Marc Jacobs Beauty and the Age Defy Skin Perfector by Studio 10. Both are super portable and blendable. Plus they work for every skin tone.
If you haven’t heard of Chosungah, you need to get on it now! A master makeup artist from Korea, her new line (available at Sephora) is chock full of innovative products, colors and applicator systems. Two of our favorites are this
jelly lipstick, and the super futuristic Hidden Foundation, which actually carries the product within the poofy applicator.
Why has no one thought of this before?
Mixologie is a new blendable perfume line that allows you to create a new fragrance every day according to your mood. Handy little scent recipe cards offer suggested blends. Bonus? These oil-based scents are perfect for travel!
Remember how Sun In used to turn your hair orange but you still used it every time you went to the beach? So, if the answer is yes, I am so excited to let you know that there is a modern, adult-friendly natural hair lightener that literally has changed the game for highlight-seekers. Klorane’s Sun Lightening Spray provides subtle blonde highlights thanks to the chamomile flower and hair-softening honey. Stay tuned sun worshipers! This won’t be out until May. Look for it at
After a stressful day of Jenga playing (one of our favorite office activities), we could use a little relaxation and skin rejuvenation.
These lavender-scented items from You Are Amazing contain notes of lily and vanilla bean for a seriously calming shower and post-shower experience.
Everyone knows the best lighting for beautiful looking skin is candle light.
These new Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundations from Laura Mercier make your face look ethereal thanks to blurring pearl mica and micro-fine pigments. We love that there are 24 shades, because everyone can find her match!
One of my favorite brands on earth, Hourglass, has launched
an eyeshadow palette so incredible we had to share it with you! The new Modernist Eyeshadow Palette has four creamy, soft shadows that blend without creasing for a simple, sexy cat eye. We love the Infinity shade because of the neutral tones. Note: A little goes a long way! Use sparingly and blend with a brush for ideal results.
We are ALL about a creamy, bright matte lip this season and we think we found our soulmate in Maybelline’s
Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid. These bright shades contain twice as much pigment as lipstick for a seriously bold pout. Also won’t break the bank!
Since you can’t ALWAYS be rocking a technicolor lip, our matte nude staple is this
freaking perfect Lip Cream from Milani. The shade is adorable, and also called Adorable and you need it in your life.
The changing of seasons means one thing for sure… skin freakouts! Keep calm and beauty on with these problem-specific sheet masks from one of our fave brands, Boscia. The
pink one provides deep hydration, the green soaks excess oil, and the white brightens dark spots and skin dullness. Even better? Each is only $8, and makes an immediate difference!
In this office we have become obsessed with everything Soap & Glory. Two favorites for spring include this unbelievably scented
Body Milk (a blend of almond, cocoa, yogurt, oat and honey), as well as this perfectly peachy Pillow Plump lip plumper. You don’t know what you’re missing.
After making a huge splash with her insanely popular lip kit, Ms. Jenner has dipped her fingertips into the world of nail polish. Behold
her debut collection for Sinful Colors. Our favorite shades, each only $2.99 a pop, are Karamel, a sparkly nude and King Kylie, a rich cobalt blue.
Remember the must-have gummy ring-encrusted Hard Candy nail polishes from the 90s? Here is the modern, adult version! Smith & Cult, a supersexy line launched by the minds behind Hard Candy nail polishes, is introducing this must-have Tainted Lip Stained collection, featuring soft pastel shades. This lip color is a soft pink shade called
Sweet Suite, and the nail color is Subnormal, and described as an “opaque cement.” We’re in love.
Warmer weather means lighter textures when it comes to skin care and we couldn’t agree more. This
grapefruit-infused pre-refining face mist adds nutrients like vitamin C, plum, and lentils to the skin to minimize pores and improve skin tone. How refreshing!
Happy spring everyone!
