It’s rare to see 41-year-old Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio out in public not doing one of these three things (while dressed badly): hanging out with a 25-year-old supermodel, Citibiking around town, or hanging out with a 23-year-old supermodel. So it was a nice change of pace when a video emerged of him pranking his good ole Wolf of Wall Street pal Jonah Hill on a New York City street by pretending to be a rabid, iPhone-wielding fan.
This video does, naturally, include Leo (dressed badly) Citibiking, which seems to be his favorite method of urban transportation. Weird. Weirder still, there seems to be a whole gang of Citibikers surrounding him, the leader of whom appears to be a fedora-wearing, cigarette-smoking, blooming cargo-pant-wearing Swizz Beats lookalike (unless it actually is Swizz? Mr. Beats, can you confirm?)
If you care not for Leo’s somewhat perplexing Citibike gang of miscreants, skip to 1:19 where he spots Jonah Hill and begins to run up to him, phone out, as if he is some crazed fan (do yourself a favor and mute the video so you don’t hear the paparazzo somewhat ghoulishly chanting “nice nice nice nice nice” in an endless loop like some sort of demented, privacy-demolishing parrot.)
Or just watch my GIF rendition. Here is Leo scooting on over to the unsuspecting Jonah Hill:
And the exact moment Jonah realizes it’s just his silly pal Leo, pulling a prank. Leo!
And then, both relieved neither of them are some poor plebes, probably, they hug:
And then they hug some more:
The only reason the two stopped hugging at all is because the Citibike gang comes back. And that concludes the story of how Leo had himself a little fun that didn’t include a hot chick 15 years his junior.
