Grey Ombré Hair Is The Fall Trend That Isn’t Just For The Adventurous

ATTENTION, LADIES:

If you’re not one to jump on bandwagons, the latest hair trend might just force you to eat your words. Behold: Grey ombré hair.

The popularization of grey ombré hair kind of rides on the coattails of #GrannyHair, my personal favorite recent hair trend, as much for its inclusion of the word  ‘granny’ as its unique aesthetic. Remember #GrannyHair? There were probably makeup artists and hair gurus all over your Facebook and Instagram feeds around a year ago, flaunting a shade older women have been trying to camouflage for decades.

It’s a good look.

But as the style gods have decreed in their official Book of Trend Progressions, everything, at a certain point, must be ombréed. We ain’t mad about it! As BuzzFeed pointed out, the look is more ~goth mermaid~ than anything else and there’s never a bad thing to be said about mermaids, or grannies, or goth people, so. That’s what I’m preachin’.

Makes you wonder if all the #GrannyHair enthusiasts just let their roots grow out. That’s how I achieved my most perfect level of (non-granny) ombré. Pure laziness. But then you see pictures like this and you’re like, “Oh never mind this took someone like 7 hours to do.”

You can also throw some blues and purples in there, for ~dramatic effect~

Now you just have to finagle yourself a mermaid crown and you could rule the Instagram ocean as the queen of Mermaid Goth.
