We love Nelly. He taught us about excessively high room temperatures, fur-lined boots, and — let us never forget — he has a friend with a pole in the basement.

Sadly, our favorite St. Lunatic is having some financial issues — specifically, he owes the IRS more than $2.4 million, according to TMZ. But don’t worry, the Internet is coming to the rescue! There’s a campaign to stream his hit, “Hot in Here,” on Spotify 287,176,547 times to help pay off the debt.

Which is a LOT of taking off all your clothes. Of course, Twitter weighed in with some jokes:

All this got us thinking: How much other Nelly-related merchandise is worth $2.4 million? By our (terrible) calculations, $2.4 million comes out to:

68,591 St. Louis Cardinals caps

26,666 pairs of Air Force Ones

141,259 Apple Bottom jogging suits for toddlers (!!)

and of course…

1,081,081 facial bandages

Damn. Well, good luck getting out of hock, Nelly!! We expect you to have our backs when it’s time to pay off our student loans.
