Kristen Bell Gives The Gender Wage Gap A Big Ol’ ‘F*ck You’ In This Fake Commercial

In the first episode of a new sardonic web series for Huffington Post entitled “Celebs Have Issues,” Kristen Bell promotes a faux outsourcing method which takes heavy advantage of that good ol’ gender wage gap: Pinksourcing.

Bell explains that the whole concept is really quite simple:

“Why outsource all of your production to far away countries like India, China and Narnia when we have the cheapest and the best work force right here in the good ol’ U-S-of-A? Women!”

Makes sense, right? Women are a bargain, since you only have to pay them 79 cents on the dollar. And that whole “paid maternity leave” thing? Just a myth!

“You don’t have to pay women over time, they’ll never ask for a raise and they don’t complain about their working conditions,” Bell quips happily as she passes by a beleaguered woman using a trash can for a desk.

And the best part? All that free food, of course! “Don’t forget, women are great at remembering birthdays. They’re the only ones who bring baked goods into the office!”

And if this all sounds like issues which might cause women to complain, don’t worry about it. You can silence them easily by giving them free shit.

“And ladies, who cares if you make $30,000 less than men at your job, when they have FREE TAMPONS IN THE BATHROOM?”

With such soundproof logic, it really is no wonder that the gender wage gap is still alive and well. It seems like a pretty good deal, for the people in charge! Why change a good thing, right?
