Another day, another Trump-tastrophe. Just when you thought this election couldn’t possibly get any more unnerving, newly uncovered comments made by the Trump family have, if possible, made things even worse.
The saying “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” could not be a more adequate description of Donald Trump Jr. who is unfortunately, following right in his father’s deplorable footsteps. News sources recently discovered remarks regarding sexual harassment made by Trump Jr. that are, to no one’s surprise, completely despicable.
Buzzfeed News uncovered comments made by Donald Trump Jr. suggesting women who can’t handle harassment at work should teach kindergarten.
We thought we reached a point in this election where nothing else that comes out of a Trump’s mouth can really shock us, but boy were we wrong. During March of 2013 in an appearance on The Opie and Anthony Show, Donald Trump Jr. said that women who can’t handle harassment at work “should go maybe teach kindergarten.”
“I’m of that mindset — and I’ll get into trouble, I’m sure I’ll get myself in trouble one of these days. If you can’t handle some of the basic stuff that’s become a problem in the workforce today, then you don’t belong in the workforce. Like, you should go maybe teach kindergarten. I think it’s a respectable position.
“You can’t be negotiating billion-dollar deals if you can’t handle, like, you know,” Trump said, without elaborating. “But listen — there’s a place where you have to draw the line — but today the stuff you get in trouble for, I wouldn’t even think about—”
What in the actual fuck?
Of course, this isn’t the first time Jr. has voiced his sexist ideas.
His kindergarten teacher remark was then followed by yet another comment Jr. made when he stated that he missed all-male golf courses: “If you have a guys’ place you have a guys’ place.” According to The Slot, this was only a year before one of the hosts of The Opie and Anthony Show was fired for going on an extended racist rant about black people.
Jr. also came under scrutiny in March of this year for even more despicable comments made on his Twitter account. A since deleted a tweet from 2011 attested that Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray “can sexually harass the hell out of anyone” because he’s so handsome. “HR rules don’t apply,” Trump Jr. added with a smiley face.
How about no?
