Well before giving birth to her baby girl Luna, Chrissy Teigen knew she was going to have to deal with unsolicited parenting advice from the whole freakin’ world. When she was pregnant, she was slammed for choosing her baby’s gender, and not long after giving birth, she was criticized for daring to go for dinner with her husband John Legend. So, the supermodel likely isn’t surprised that she’s getting ripped again—this time, for how she was holding her 6-month-old. But it still annoying AF.
On Wednesday, Twitter user @uVuyoh tweeted a paparazzi photo of Teigen holding Luna in NYC.
The troll slammed the supermodel for how she was carrying her baby girl, writing, “This is not how a baby is held!”
Teigen—being the badass mama that she is—fired back.
Sure enough, the critic dug their heels in, asserting that there are “incorrect ways to hold an infant,” and in their opinion, the way Teigen is holding Luna in that shot qualifies as “incorrect.” But Teigen had a response for that too.
Teigen, who for a few days made her Twitter account private to probably detox from situations like this one, got a ton of support from other followers on Twitter.
Any troll would be wise to think twice before shaming this proud mama.
Teigen’s obviously not going to tolerate any bullshit from strangers hell-bent on critiquing her parenting savvy. No one can make a judgment on anything based on one quick shot. In a standalone tweet, Teigen summed up the situation beautifully.
