In today’s installment of “Celebrities Who Don’t Have Real Problems,” we have everyone’s favorite (least favorite?) perpetually prepubescent superstar, Justin Bieber.
What’s Justin’s “problem”? Well, he just can’t handle his fans undying adoration anymore, and it’s bugging the living sh*t out of him.
During a Sunday night performance in Manchester, England, as part of his Purpose World Tour, Biebs was unable to secure his audience’s silence during a song break. Apparently tired of trying to get control of the room, Bieber dropped the mic (or, rather, tossed the mic) and walked offstage.
According to Billboard, Bieber said a few stern words to his shrieking fans before walking offstage:
I appreciate all the support, I appreciate love. I appreciate the kind things. But the screaming in these breaks has got to stop. Please and thank you. I don’t think it’s necessary when I’m trying to say something and you guys are screaming.
Yeah, guys! Don’t you know that Justin Bieber is a f*cking ARTIST, now?
This isn’t the first incident which has caused Bieber to storm off stage in a pouty huff. He has often chided his fans for not “engaging” with him when he’s trying to speak, and he once stormed off stage when a bevy of screaming fans would’t let him clean up some spilled water on the edge of the stage.
While no one appreciates the sentiment about annoying screaming girls more than I do (believe me, I was a screaming girl once), it sort of feels like Bieber has somehow forgotten that he’s a f*cking popstar. When you’re a teen heartthrob, you’re going to get some screams during your “important” heart-to-hearts with the audience. And you know what? That’s just part of the job description.
Now go wipe your tears with some of your hundred dollar bills.
