Justin Timberlake Just Sang ‘Ironic’ With Jimmy Fallon And Made Your ’90s Teenage Dreams Come True

For all the grief people give Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” about not actually being ironic, you can’t deny that the song is so annoyingly catchy that it worms into your brain and lives there forever.

Perhaps that’s why Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon just can’t stop singing it.

In this new sketch from The Tonight Show, the pair team up yet again as the two curly-topped campers at Camp Winnipesaukee who can belt out every single ’90s tune, but can’t ever seem to go to bed. In the past, the singing duo has covered “Africa” by Toto, “I Only Wanna Be With You” by Hootie & The Blowfish, and “Jumper” by Third Eye Blind.

This time around, it was only fitting that “Ironic” was on the docket.

Of course, the crooning campers are interrupted multiple times by their crabby camp counselor, Mr. Fletcher, who apparently hates both ’90s songs and shorts of an appropriate length.

There are multiple giggle-breaks throughout the sketch, (because it’s Jimmy Fallon and that’s all he knows how to do) but, all in all, it’s a pretty impressive Alanis cover. It also serves as an important reminder that, OH, YEAH, Justin Timberlake is a really talented singer and stuff!

Now, if they would only find time to cover an *NSYNC song or two, then our fangirl hearts could truly collectively explode …
