Pornhub Wants To Buy Vine Because 6 Seconds Should Be Enough To Get Off

Yesterday the internet gathered around to mourn in the wake of devastating news that the once viral video app, Vine, would be no more. In an attempt to make their company more profitable, Twitter announced that the closing of Vine’s doors was a sacrifice they needed to make.

While we weren’t sure what the future would hold for dedicated Viners, we certainly didn’t expect a company like PornHub to throw an offer on the table.

Though recently condemned, Vine may be “saved” by Pornhub.

After the unexpected news that Vine would cease to exist in the coming months, users were understandably distressed. However, and unlikely bidder might be coming to its rescue. Pornhub, the X-rated adult-entertainment site expressed interest in the six-second video loop app via a less-than-flattering letter to Twitter.

In a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Pornhub VP Corey Price made his case.

“We figure since Twitter dropped Vine and is having significant layoffs that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine…upon purchasing Vine, we would restore it back to its NSFW glory. After all, spurts of porn in six seconds is more than enough time for most people to enjoy themselves.”

Needless to say, Vine fans are having mixed emotions. If Pornhub bought Vine, then would it really even be Vine anymore? Not as we know it, that’s for sure. There wouldn’t be anymore adorably hilarious animal loops or trick shots or any sort of variety at all. It would just be…well…you know.

“Damn Daniel” is about to take on a whole new meaning and I don’t know if I like it.
