Mondays are tough, it seems like anything that can go wrong will go wrong on a Monday. The week is barely starting and we’re already asking ourselves “Is it Friday yet?”
Unfortunately, there’s a ways to go before the next weekend, but at least we can all suffer together, right? Plus, nothing cures a case of the Monday blues like a kickass playlist and we’ve got just the one to boost your mood.
1. Empire of the Sun – “Alive”
Pretty much any Empire of the Sun track has the power to turn a bad day back around, but “Alive” is one of my personal favorites. So, jam out and forget what day it is.
2. The Lumineers – “Ophelia”
This recently released Lumineers’ track is off of their 2016 album Cleopatra and it’s chorus is insanely contagious. Oh Oh-phelia!
3. Passion Pit – “Take A Walk”
Though we haven’t seen too much new music from Passion Pit in a little while, their classics will never fail to make your day better. “Take A Walk” is hands down my favorite song (and probably a million other people’s), but it’s just too good not to love.
4. Martin Garrix, Bebe Rexha – “In The Name Of Love”
This fairly new Martin Garrix hit has been blowing up on radio stations everywhere and we can’t get enough of it. It’s literally impossible to be in a bad mood when you listen to this track.
5. American Authors – “Best Day Of My Life”
I mean the name of the song is “Best Day Of My Life” so it has to do something to help your Monday blues. Ooooh this is gonna be the best day of my life…
6. WALK THE MOON – “Shut Up and Dance”
This charttopping hit from WALK THE MOON will never get old, even if radio stations insist upon playing it every other song. You really can’t sit still to it either. So, you might just have to shut up and dance with us.
7. Justin Timberlake – “Can’t Stop The Feeling!”
This Justin Timberlake track recorded for the new Dream Works movie Trolls is the epitome of a happy song. Yes, I know all the words and no, I’m not sorry about it.
8. Local Natives – “Fountain Of Youth”
If you’re not a Local Natives fan or have yet to listen to them, now is the time. This track is one of my go-to’s for driving with the windows down and loving life.
9. Bleachers – “I Wanna Get Better”
“I Wanna Get Better” is seriously on any and all of my feel-good playlists. It just makes you feel BETTER about even the shittiest of situations. I wanna get better!
10. Zedd, Jon Bellion – “Beautiful Now”
This Zedd and Jon Bellion collaboration is insanely upbeat and usually makes its way onto my running playlist. How could you not want to jump up and down or push that last mile with this song?
11. Sia – “Cheap Thrills”
Last, but certainly not least we had to include our girl Sia on this playlist. Not only is she one of the most empowering female artists we know, but her music just makes you feel like you can conquer the world and live your life however the fuck you want to.
