People Can’t Deal With Lindsey Lohan’s Bizarre New “Accent”

Unfortunately, Lindsay Lohan’s less than appealing press coverage is all that we’ve really heard from the actress in the past few years.

She’s managed to crawl back into a slightly less negative spotlight though, when she was recently interviewed at the opening of her own nightclub “Lohan” in Athens. When LiLoh began to speak, the media quickly realized she had developed an entirely new accent and it’s confusing AF.

Perez Hilton tweeted this video of Lohan from a few weeks ago at the launch of her new nightclub.

What is that accent? It’s nearly impossible to discern what she’s even saying. Is that English? There’s some speculation that it could be linked to Lohan’s recent visit to Syrian refugee camps in Turkey where she reportedly donated energy drinks, but why?

In an interview with Daily Mail Lohan admitted that she didn’t think her accent was a big deal or even noticeable. She asserts that it could be a combination of several different languages she understands.

“It’s a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn. I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child. I’m fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian, and Arabic” she told Daily Mail.

I’m sorry, but what? I don’t think people just adopt new accents over night. That’s not quite how that works.

Lohan dubbed her newfound accent, “LILOHAN ” in a tweet to Daily Mail.

Well, at least she’s acknowledging the fact that she legitimately altered her entire manner of speaking.

When asked if all of the attention over her altered speech surprised her, Lohan told the Daily Mail, “Nothing really shocks me these days. I moved to London four years ago and the taxes seem to be getting higher.”

Fans were understandably shocked that LiLo sounded nothing like herself (or really anyone for that matter.)

One Twitter user has us hoping for a new Lohan single:

Then again, maybe she’s just channeling her British “twin” from the Parent Trap days…
