Yesterday, while the rest of us argued about politics with our friends, a brand new Kardashian made her way into the world.
Blac Chyna gave birth to Dream Renee, her daughter with Rob Kardashian.
According to US Weekly, the newest arrival weighs 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and was born via C-section. But that’s not the only thing that went down in the delivery room.
Blac Chyna also used her time in labor to drop one of the funniest and most creative additions to the mannequin challenge.
ICYMI, the mannequin challenge is a new viral obsession in which people set up a dramatic scene and then freeze in place while a camera zooms in and catches all the hilarious and clever little details. It began with some creative high schoolers in a classroom, and has since expanded into a social media sensation. Blac Chyna’s might be one of the best ones yet.
For her mannequin challenge, Blac Chyna caught all the crazy details of the labor and delivery experience.
There’s Rob at the end of the bed “catching” the baby.
Kris Jenner making this face I can’t stop laughing at.
Corey Gamble pretending to check Chyna’s vitals.
The obligatory iPhone photographer at the end of the bed (Kardashians gotta have paparazzi).
And, of course, Blac Chyna herself, putting on her best labor pain face as her mom, Tokyo Toni, holds her hand.
It might seem a little extreme to welcome a baby with a viral social media stunt, but honestly their mannequin challenge is creative AF. It’s an awesome way to commemorate the birth of their newest little family member, and it’s a funny take on a family photo that won’t elicit groans and looks of boredom whenever they try to show it to someone.
Love them or hate them, the Kardashian clan has some serious social media game, and it’s probably just a matter of time before little Dream is building her own Kardashian media empire.
Congrats to the entire family on their newest arrival!
