It’s difficult to have high expectations for any Lifetime original movie, let alone an unauthorized one with questionable accuracy. But that didn’t stop hundreds of viewers from watching the network’s highly anticipated Britney Spears biopic last night.
Britney Ever After, which was not approved by Britney or her team, aired within days of the 10-year anniversary of the singer’s infamous head shaving incident. This event, along with several others in the film, were noticeably stretched a little too far from the truth and exasperated fans are taking their frustrations out on Twitter.
The Britney Spears biopic made its debut on Lifetime last night and fans are outraged.
Though I have yet to finish the film in its entirety, the multitude of inaccuracies in just the first 20 minutes are unforgivable. Why Lifetime, WHY?
Even Britney’s outfits were a tragedy.
Viewers were also horrified by Justin’s portrayal.
And several blamed the casting department.
Many celebs are having similar frustrations.
According to US Weekly, several celebs are forcibly denouncing any association with the biopic.
